ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
DEATH FROM SHOCK. [Per Press Association.] AUCKLAND, July 11. At the Inquest on the body of Winifred Ann Munro, aged 66, evidence was given to the effect that deceased fell in her bedroom on Monday night, through her ankle giving way, causing a compound fracture of the thighbone. Dr. Frengley, resident medical officer at the hospital, stated that the injuries made an Ixm mediate operation necessary. The leg was amputated just below the knee. She died two hours’ latexfollowing shock. A verdict was returned accordingly.
