FRENCH HONOUR FOR A WOMAN. PARIS, June 1. The Dowager Duchess D’Uzes has just been appointed a “Lieutenant de Louvetterie." This gives the duchess, whose love for the chase is celebrated in France, the right to hunt the wolf in the districts allotted to her without obtain Ing any further Governmental permission. It also gives her the righ.t to hunt in the forests of the State, and to direct the beating of them for game. This position has never before been given to a woman. It may really be translated as "Master of the Wolf-hounds.”
