FATALITY AT WHAKA

LITTLE MAORI GIRL DROWNED. (Per Press Assocaition). ROTORUA, July 11. Shortly after 3 o’clock this afternoon, a Maori girl, aged two years, named Ripeka Wliarepapa, was drowned in a warm pool at Whakarewarewa. She was bathing with her sister, aged four years, who went to get a drink at a tap twenty yards distant. On returning she found the deceased unconscious, in the pool. She pulled her out, but medieal aid failed to restore animation.
