CORRESPONDENCE Education Department, notifying i hat there was little chance of an immediate grant being obtainable for a new hostel.—The chairman said it would be necessary to find temporary acooni- 1 modation for the boys.- Mr ’Luxford thought that the matter should be pressed further. -Mr Patterson said liiat the building soon to be constructed, which would accommodate twelve Loys and a master, would cost £4OO. It was only of a temporary nature, and would cope with present requireqcirements only. It would only help to carry on for another year.—lt was deeded to address the Department again, and urge the necessity of assistance towards providing hostel accoinmodauon. The chairman and the director were authorised to procure temporary accommodation i'l tin- meanwhile.
