WELLINGTON ANGLICAN SYNOD

(Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, July 5. The merits and demerits of the Nelson system of giving religious instruction in schools was discussed at the Anglican Synod to-day, and it was eventually decided to approve of the entry of clergymen into State schools for that purpose to commemorate the centenary of Archdeacon Henry Williams. It was decided to establish divinity schools in the diocese of Dornakel, India, whose native bishop recently visited the Dominion. An appeal will be made throughout New Zealand for £.2000 for a school to be known as the Henry Williams School.
