During this time his motto has been, “Feed, Breed, Test,” and by following these lines and by judicious culling, systematic testing and using only sires ot great butter fat backing, he has brought his herd up to a very high standard. His average butter fat return under the Cheltenham Cow Testing Association for the 1922-1923 season was 357.35 lbs in 254 days. Mr. Sinclair intends to devote his energies in future to building up a pedigree Jersey herd, and to sheep farming. MR. GORTON’S HERD. 20 high grade Jersey cows. 5 high grade Jersey springing heifers 3 second calvers (particulars at sale), 1 3-yr. registered bull, “Mozelle’s Pride" 5 sows in pig, 1 p.b. Berkshire boar. NOTE. —Tlte above cows and heifers are chiefly Taranaki bred. The cows comprise seven first calvers, six second calvers and seven older. All been served by "Mozelle's Pride.” The cows have been tested by the Cheltenham Cow Testing Association. and have produced for 19221923 season, an average of 329.75 lbs butter fat in 261 days (less than 9 months). At the sale the INDIVIDUAL RECORDS OF BOTH HERDS will be announced. Buyers, therefore, will have an exceptional opportunity of selecting cows on their ACTUAL INDIVIDUAL BUTTER FAT PRODUCTION.
