At the Army Point-to-Point Races at Aborfield, the Prince of Wales, riding Ocean HL, was leading in the race for the Earl of Cavan’s Cup until his horse failed at the water-jump the second time round. The Prince was thrown into the boughs of a tree, but immediately went to the rescue of his horse, which was in danger of drowning.
