SYDNEY UNIVERSITY'S ANNUAL PROCESSION. STUDENTS’ DEMONSTRATION BECOMING VULGAR. SYDNEY, May 18. Great crowds witnessed the annual University commemoration procession. Despite their expurgated song book, the students succeeded in making the procession very lively. The usual scenic skits on public events accentuated the drift noticeable in recent years to broader and coarser fun, compared with the finer, sparkling humour of older times. That sparkle was completely lacking to-day.
