The following remits were passed bj the Technical Education Conference:— That representations be made to th< Minister for Education for a boarding allowance of 5s per week, to lie granted to pupils of technical high schools who arc compelled to reside away from home. That the Minister for Education be asked to make provision for renewing periodically, trade or vocational experience of full-time instructors. who are engaged in vocational training in te< huioal schools and classes. That the Department lie asked to establish New Zetland examinations for manual training and technical instructors at as early a date as possible. That the conference protests against unnecessary delay in the supply of handwork materials for primary schools, and suggests that the Department revert to the former pi act ice of paying capitation.
