WEDDING

Cliff Road, Marton, was certainly en fete on April 30, as all the settlers along the line turned out en masse to witness the wedding of Miss Hodson and Mr Rubery, which took place at St. Stephen’s Church, Cliff Road, at 2 p.m., the Rev. Kitcat officiating. The bride, who w|.s given away by her brother-in-law, Mr A. W. D. Long, looked charming in her dainty white dress and flowing veil (lovingly lent by her sister, Mrs Long), while little Miss Kathleen Mary Long, niece and namesake of the bride, acted an bridesmaid, and was escorted up the aisle by her twin brothers. Mrs Long, sister of the bride, and Miss Morrison were also in attendance, while Mr Jack Nitschke acted as groomsman. A reception was held afterwards at "The Ngaios,” Mr and Mrs A. T. Coleman kindly acting as host and hostess.
