At the Police Court Frederick Leo Williams, aged twenty, and Thomas Henry Murray, aged twenty-one, were charged with the theft of jewellery. The accused were found endeavouring to pawn watches and when a search was made of a valise belonging to them, jewellery valued rt £2OO was discovered, Some had the trademark “Mackenzie and Co.-, Wellington.” The accused were remanded for a week.
