TAIHAPE SALE REPORT. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Palmerston North, report having held their usual fortnightly sale at Taihapc on Wednesday, May 16th, when a small yarding of sheep and a heavy yarding of cattle came forward. Competition was keen at late rates for all lines submitted to auction, and we report a total clearance at prices satisfactory to vendors. We (juote; Mixed aged ewes r.w. Romney rams, 17s 6d to 235; P.A. cows to P.A. bulls, £4; S.H. cows to P.A. bulls (low condition), £2 to £2 ss, P.A. crossbred cows to P.A. bulls, £2 7s to £3 15s; fat cows £4 2s to £1 ss; store cows (poor), 15s to 30s; aged dairy cows, £2, £3 ss, to £3 10s; 18-month P.A. steers, £3 17s, weaner P.A. steers £2 18s to £3 Is; Hereford weaner steers £2 10s to £2 17s; weaner P.A. heifers, £2 2s 6d to £2 ss; weaner Hereford heifers, 34s to 38s; mixed coloured weaners, b.f., 25s to 355; weaners (small), 20s
