HIS MAJESTY’S THEATRE. “FLESH AND BLOOD,” TO-NIGHT. A programme of distinctive merit will be screened at His Majesty’s Iheatre to-night. “Flesh and Blood,’' a First National production, featuring Lon Chaney, is the chief attraction. The story balances its dramatic moments with scenes of heart interest. These show the convict journeying down to the mission where his daughter presides. He cannot tell her that
he is her father. And Chaney can bring ou t this pathos with deep feeling so that mawkish sentiment never intrudes. The climax find's him bearding the lion in his den and making him confess his great wrong. With the daughter’s happiness assured the convict returns to prison and gives Irmself up. Having straightened out his entangled experiences it is certain that .his freedom »uli he given him soon after. Chaney gives a wonderful ner(?r. m . anoe ’ anc * h® is ably supported ,bv Edith Roberts, Noah Beery, and a remarkably strong cast The second feat,V r ?, 1® “Wings of Pride,” with Olivo 101 l in the lead, and it tolls a powerful story of political intrigue and modern society life.
