WATERSIDE WORKERS’ BAND.

THE SEIZED INSTRUMENTS. (Per Press Association). WELLINGTON, April 14. The matter of the seized Waterside Workers’ Band instruments was before the Court yesterday. The Waterside Workers’ Federation claimed the instruments on the ground that they were entitled to possession of them as the Waterside Workers’ Union had given that body a bill of sale over the whole of their assets. The question before the Court was an application by the Sheriff to determine whether this claim was valid. When the case was called on it was intimated the Federation would withdraw any claim to the instruments. His Honour, Mr Justice Hosking, made an order that the Federation should be barred and that no action could be brought against the Sheriff in respect to the subject matter of the claim. Costs were allowed against tbe Federation.
