BETWEEN BRITISH AND AMERICAN CHAMPIONS.

NEW YORK, April 12.

Sir Stanley Cochrane, of Ireland, who is now in the United States, has offered a special purse for two days’ matches between Hagen and Sarazen and Hutchinson and Barnes, the present and former British and American champions respectively, on the 28th and 29th April. The first day will be a 36-hole best ball four-ball match, and the second day a medal competition of 36 holes.
