[Per Press Association.] CHRISTCHURCH, April 13. At the inquest on Law;rence Edward Pilbeam, a four-year-old adopted child, which died in the hospital, evidence was given that it drank a small quantity of schnapps left in a glass accidentally. Medical and an analyst's evidence showed that a tableapoonful of schnapps would have caused the condition described. The coroner said he cast no reflection ont he foster parents, but the* case emphasised the need for aicare in keeping things out of child- “ Iren’s way.
