CRICKET.
FURTHER CRITICISM. Received August 22. 8.10 p.m. SYDNEY, August 22. It is stated that McLaicn’s team is regarded in Cricket Association circles as more in the nature of picnic tourists than as a combination capable of testing the mettle of the host amateurs against real cricketers. Excepting McLaren and Calthorpe, the rest are almost unknown. No details of the tour have yet been received.
