FIRE RAISER SENTENCED.
LONDON, July 14. Harry Smith was sentenced to three years on a charge of atempting to defraud the Yorkshire Insurance Company.
Smith was a worsted spinner of Leeds. It is alleged that the accused, after buying Linden Park Mansion at Howick, insured the house and contents for £73,000 and then wilfully set it on fire in May, 1921, claiming £50,000 from the company.
