WHEN THE ALLIES LEFT.
UNEASY FEELING IN OPPELN. LONDON, July 11. The Allied evacuation of Oppeln was carried out with the utmost caution. Traffic was stopped, and blinds that overlooked the street were lowered. People looked on silently. All Oppeln and German Upper Silesia flew the forbidden red, white and black flag. Telegraphic advioes later state that the town is quiet, but there is an uneasy feeling iu the air.
(Oppeln is a town in Prussian Silesia, 51 miles south-east of Breslau. It has a population of about 30,000.)
