THE PACIFIC CABLE.
A PROPOSED DUPLICATE. Received May 14, 11.15 p.m. VICTORIA, May 13. Mr. John Milward arrived by the Niagara from Suva, via Fanning Island, eu route to London, to report to the board regarding a route for a duplicate Pacific cable. It is understood it will be different from the present route, but further information is not available.
