BLOOD-STAINED SEMENOFF

TERRIBLE CHARGES. WASHINGTON, April 12. General Graves, commander of the American Siberian force, appeared before the Senate Labour Committee. He declared that Semenoff, who is under arrest in New York, has been guilty of wholesale murders. General Graves submitted the testimony of American, officers who had seen train loads of Bolshevik prisoners sent out and return empty. Investigation revealed great common graves, where massacred captives had been buried. Other evidence showed that Semenoff’s troops had murdered five American soldiers. Lieut.-Col. Morrow testified that Semenoff executed men by hundreds, cutting them to pieces with sabras. Lieut.-Col. Morrow’s force yielded to appeals by thousands of farmers who were menaced by the Semenoff division, which killed and Plundered indescribably.

SEMINOFF DISAPPEARS. NEW YORK, April 12. Semenoff has disappeared. The surety company which gave his bail bond sent a sheriff to his hotel for the purpose of obtaining guarantees safeguarding the augmented bail which was necessary, due to too many suits being brought against him. The sheriff could not find him anywhere. His attorneys declare they do not know his whereabouts. There is a rumour he escaped on a vessel leaving America.
