MUNICIPAL MOTOR LORRIES. (To the Editor.) Sir.—A few days ago a letter appeared in your columns re the respective virtues of British and American lorries. The writer remarked on the purchase by the Borough Council of ah American truck for £625, and inquired if there had been tenders for British machines, and if so, at what amount. As sole agents for Dennis motor vehicles,, we may state that we tendered for the machine required, our price being £750£125 more than the accepted tender for an American vehicle. —Yours faithfully, for the New Zealand Express Go., Ltd.
