A MURDEROUS RUSSIAN.
BERLIN, March 28. The police at Warsaw arrested and charged with murder a young man, Stephen Pasnik, who confessed to having killed so many women that he had lost count of the number. Detectives engaged in unravelling the mysterious murder of two young girls discovered that they had the same lover and tracked down Pasnik, who admits that he murdered a girl named Fenda in January, and a few days later her mother. He battered to death with an iron rod a beautiful village belle shortly after, and murdered another whose name he cannot recall and a fortnight ago will another. When asked for the names of the victims he replied dispassionately: “I cut so many women’s throats that I cannot remember their names”.
