In sympathy with the Australian market, and very limited local demand, business in hides was only possible at an all-round decline for all sorts. As compared with the values current at the sale held a month ago, ox and row hides showed a decline, irrespective of weight and condition, of from id to 1 Id per lb, whilst kip, yearling. and calf were from 2d to 3|d per lb lower. The tallow’ market was unchanged, and quiet at last sale rates. There was not much tallow’ offered, and the prices forthcoming were not up to expectationsTh?
