N.S.W. ELECTIONS.
RETURNS INCOMPLETE. PROBABLE MAJORITY FOR COALITION. Received March 26th 5.5 p.m. SYDNEY, March 26. Incomplete state election returns, on the first preference votes, indicate thirty-five Coalitionists, seven Progressive, forty Labour. Both Premier Dooley and Sir George Fuller (Leader of the Opposition) are safe, while Mr Levy (for Speaker) is so far well behind. Mr McGirr is leading for Sydney. Sir George Fuller states that he expects the final position of the House to be: Labour 42, Anti-La-bour 48. Mr Dooley declined to make any comment, as the figures are to incomplete.
Mr Wearne, leader of the Coalition wing of the Progressives, is apparently secure. Voting in all electorates is heavy. Compulsory enrolment is responsible for 103,595 more electors being on the roll than at the previous poll.
ANTI-LABOUR GAINS SIX SEATS. EXPECTED TO HAVE MAJORITY OF TEN. Received March 26, 12.15 a.m. SYDNEY, March 26. Later figures show that Anti-La-bour Parties have gained six seats, and will probably win four more, giving them a majority of ten.
