BRITAIN’S TELEPHONES.
PROPOSED REFORMS. Received March 23, 5.5 p.m. LONDON, March 22. A select committee on the telephone service recommends the separation of the telegraph and telephone departments from the mails department, also an immediate reduction of ten per cent, on telephone subscribers’ accounts, residential telephones to be lower than commercial users.
