STOCK SALE REPORTS. Dalgety and Company Limited, Palmerston North, report having a small .enttry of sheep and cattle at their Hunterville sale on Tuesday the 21st., which sold as follows: 4 and 5-year ewes to 16/; 21 to 3year steers £4/2/6; small 3-year steers £3/5/; Yearling steers to 38/-; 2-year heifers £2/8/; 1-year heifers 32/-; cows 20/- to £2/1; weaner heifers 20/- to 20/6; poor weaner steers 10/-; small bulls 10/.

WOOL SALES. Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Limited report having received the following cablegram from their London House under date of 21st instant: “Wool Sales continue very firm, competition active. As compared with last sales closing rates, finest Merino prices are rather dearer. Merino wools good, a change if any lis in sellers favour. Merino wools I inferior and faulty par to 5 per cent [lower, Crossbred wools fine and medium quality 5 per cent, lower, I Crossbred wools coarse unchanged, Comeback wools unchanged, sliped and Crossbred wools scoured unchanged, except Crossbred wools faulty 5 per cent, lower. Sales close 30th March.”

Messrs Dalgety and Co. Ltd., reIport having held their usual fortnightly sale at Taihape when a large yarding of sheep and a small yarding of cattle came forward. There was a large attendance of buyers and all lines submitted for sale met with keen competition at prices in favour of sellors. We quote: 2-th ewes 19/9; 4-th ewes 21/10 to 22/-; mixed aged ewes 12/7 to 14/4; 4 and 5 year old ewes 15/- to 16/4, inferior sorts 8/7 to 10/8, medium quality 4 aud 5 year old ewes 11/- to 12/7; black face lambs 13/; mixed lambs 10/3 to 12/5. Rams (Romney) IJgns. to 2 gns. for aged rams, 1 shear Rams to 3 gns. Cattle—2o-month Hereford heifers 38/-; 20-month Hereford steers £2/13/; 2J-year steers £3/4/; Hereford Bulls £l.
