A TEST OF LOYALTY. COMPULSORY FOR SCHOOL TEACHERS. Shortly before that date the list of teachers would be checked and a final warning would be given. Mr Bruce: What about private Schools? The Secretary said that the man agement of a private school had t< see that the Act wa s complied with the penalty being £5O. Mr Fraser said teachers who did not sign the oath could not remain in the Board’s employ after April Ist. It meant that they had to take the oath or else be out of a job.
