AUSTRALIA PAYING UP. Received March 15, 9.15 p.m. LONDON, March 14. On behalf of Australia, Sir Joseph Cook has paid the British Government 4j millions on account of war expenditure, including principle and interest. Sir Joseph Cook, commenting on the payment, said: “It appears to me that we are, with the exception of sister Dominions, the one debtor nation of all the Allies meeting promptly her full war obligations, and we are glad to be able to do it.”
