The appointment of the following mem hoi's of the Meat Export Control Board is notified in the Gazette: — Government representatives : Alfred Ernest Harding and David Jones, M.P. Meat Producers’ representatives: Messi’s Thomas Andrew Duncan, John Charles Nattle Grigg, Adam Hamilton, James Simon Jessep, and William Perry. Additional regulations gazetted today under the Census Statistics Act require owners of steamships bunkered in New Zealand, whether for coastal, intercolonial or overseas trade, to make a return to the Government Statistician showing tlie quantity of coal obtained in New Zealand each year, showing separately the amount of New Zealand and rhe amount of imported coal shipped. By an Order-in-Council gazetted today, Mr Joseph George Harkness, chairman of the Wellington Harbour Board, and secretary of the National Dairy Association of New Zealand, has been appointed a member of the Dominion Land Purchase Board. The following have been appointed as members of the local Land Purchase Boards :—-North Auckland: Thomas' Bassett (Dargaville), Joseph Edward Wells (Okaihau), Joseph Batty (Patumahoe). Wellington-AVe-st Coast: Oscar Monrad (Palmerston North), James Georgetti (Wanganui), James McEwen (HunterHile). Wairarapa: Hugh Morrison (Masterton), Leonard Houlbrook (Ti•raumea).
