"IVOTICE is hereby given that it is the 1 intention of the Patea County Council at its meeting to be held on Tuesday, 9th August, 1921, at 11 a.m. in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Counties Act, 1920, and “The Rating Act, 1908,” to make and levy the undermentiotned General Rates under Sections 120 and 121 of “The Counties Act, 1920,” and Sections 48 and 55 of “The Rating Act, 1908,” such rates to be for the period commencing on Ist day of April, 1921, and e’ ding on 31st day of March, 1922, and to be assessed on the Capital Value on the Valuation Roll of all rateable property within the respective Ridings of the County of Patea: For the Waverley Riding, Id in the £. For the Moumahaki Riding, Id in the £ For the Otoia Riding, id in the £. For the Kapara Riding, l|d in the £. Such rates to be due and payable in one sum on September Ist. 1921, to the Collector, W. K. Sheild, at the County Offices, Egmont Street, Patea. A penalty of 10 per cent, will be added to all rates remaining unpaid six months and fourteen days after the date of the demand.
