SILESIA.
FRANCE AGREES TO ALLIES’ PROPOSALS. Received July 17, 11.30 p.m. PARIS, July 16. The Government, in acknowledging agreement with the British Note regarding the impossibility of a joint proposal being presented by the British, French and Italian High Commissioners in Silesia, accepts the suggestion that a committee of technical experts prepare a report for the meeting of the Supreme Council on July 24. At the same time M. Briand is furnishing London and Rome with particulars of German military preparations in Upper Silesia, and proposes, before the meeting of the Council, to despatch reinforcements necessary to restore security and assure respect for the Treaty of Versailles.
