The New Zealand Farmers’ Co.op. Distributing Co. Ltd. report a good yarding of both sheep and cattle at their Mangaweka sale on Thursday. A large attendance of buyers were present, and a good all round sale resulted. Good wethers were keenly competed for, and a nice pen of two-tooth wethers realised 18s Id. We yarded just on 100 head of cattle,•principally dairy cows and heifers, and practically a total clearance was effected. We quote: Two-tooth wethers, 12s lOd, 15s 9d to 18s Id; good medium lambs, 8s 7d to Ils sd; syr ewes running with B.F. rams, 15s Id; 2yr steers, 33s to £2; good dairy cows, from £lO 15s to £l9, the latter price for a nice Jersey near the drop; inferior cows, £4 10s to £6; good Syr dairy heifers, £ll 10s to £l3 15s; medium sorts, £4 17s 6d to £8 10s; weaner heifers, 15s to 37s 6d; empty heifers £3; fat cows £6 14s; empty cows (poor), 30s, 2yr S.H. bull, £5.
