BY-LAW RE STRAYING STOCK. ’XTOTICE is hereby given that in exer- ’ cise of Lhe powers conferred upon it by “The Counties Act, 1908.” and amendments thereto, and by “Public Works Act, 190 b,” and amendments thereto, and by “ The Bye-Laws Act, 191 U,” the Batea County Council hereby maizes the following By-law, to come into effect on the first day of August, 1921, viz:— “That it be a penal offence for any person or persons to allow stock to stray on the roads within the Patea County.” INTERPRETATION.—In this Bylaw. if not inconsistent with the context “County” means the Batea County, Council means the Batea I County Council; “County Clerk,” or “Clerk” means the Clerk of the Batea County Council; “ Stock” means cattle, horses, pigs, sheep, goats, etc. ; “Roads” means any road under the control or management of the Batea County Council. Passed by the said Batea Ooutny Council at a Special Meeting duly convened and held at the offices of the Council on the tenth day of May, 1921, and duly confirmed on the fourteenth day of June. 1921.
