AUCKLAND, Jan. 9. At the swimming carnival, Miss Hilda Bleibtry, the American Olympic champion, >won the 300 metres and 50 yards invitation races, Mss V. Waldron being second in the former and Miss P. Holft second in the latter. E. V. Cunnold, a lad of 15 years, won the 880 yards Auckland championship in 12min. -sec., lowering the Dominion record by 15 l-osecs. He also won the 100 yards Intermediate Local Championship in 64secs., another New Zealand record.
