JAPANESE-AMERICAN TREATY.
THE CALIFORNIAN LAW. Received Dec. 27, 8.30 p.m. WASHINGTON, Dec. 26. It is indicated that the new Jap-anese-American treaty may negative the recently passed Californian antiJapanese laws, but it is believed the same result may be achieved by the laws prohibiting the ownership of land in California by aliens. This is expected to produce dissatisfaction on the part of many foreign interests who control oil lands and other properties.
