MYSTERIOUS AFFAIR.
WOMAN WITH BULLET IN HEAD. (Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Nov. 8. Yesterday morning Mrs. F. Malaquin, a married woman, aged 20, was removed to the Christchurch Hospital suffering from a bullet wound in the head. The matter was not reported to the police* until lx? evening. The woman’s condition tonight is reported to be satisfactory, but the bullet has not yet been extracted. There is a good deal of mystery attaching to the affair. The husband stales that the shooting was purely accidental, and says the explanation he gave to the police was accepted as satisfactory. Neighbours state that Mr. and Mrs. Malaquin lived very happily.
