In the House of Representatives, Mr. Feiss, chairman of the Republican Congressional committee, stated that the enormous Republican plurality was largely due to the women’s vote, not altogether because of the Republican policy towards woman’s suffrage or toward the progressive measures which appeal to women’s instinct and sense of right, but to the pronounced dislike of the character of the Cox campaign, which was an offence to the refinement and womanly sense of the public service.
