CHURCH NOTES.
There will be a special song service at the St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church to-morrow night. A cordial invitation is extended to all.
Rev. Stanley Jenkin will preach at both services in the Ingestre Street Baptist Church to-morrow. The morning subject is “God the Physician,” and the evening “Prophets, Popular and Unpopular."
The Rev. H. L. Blamires w.ill conduct both services at Trinity Methodist Church to-morrow. The evening service will be a reception to new members. Jackson’s “Te Deutn" will be sung and the Lord’s Supper will be observed. At Gonville the Rev. J. R., Nelson will preach morning ind evening, and at Wanganui East the Rev. O. S. Pearn will conduct the services. Evening communion will be observed.
Among the advertisements of Methodist services for to-morrow it is stated that Mr A. Pickett, winner of ihe prize at the recent musical competition in Wellington, will sing a solo at the Dublin Street Church in the evening. At Aramoho a song service at 6.45 will precede the even ing service.
Services in St. Paul’s Church at 1 1 a.m. and 7 p.m. to-morrow. Subject of morning address, “Weights or Wings’" and of the evening, “Who is the true Catholic ” when Orange Lodges will attend. Preacher, Rev. Evan R. Harries.
Meetings oil Sunday nt the Salvation Army will be conducted by Captain Gill Inglis, of Feilding. The captain i- a very fluent speaker. and those wh.> attend the services on Sittidav are in lor a treat. Everybody is cordially invited. Come and bring a friend with you. INDUCTION SERVICE. The service in connection with ih<“ induction of the Rev. A. J. Grigg. 8.A., to the pastorate of the Gonville Baptist Church, hold las’, evening, was well attended and was of a very impressive nature. The addresses delivered by the Rev. Cob ' s (New Plymouth) and the Rev. Stanley Jenkin (of the Ingestre Street Baptisl Church) were of a very high order, and were listened to with great pleasure. The Ingestre Street choir rendered the anthem. "S'ek V» the Lord” very tastefully, Mr Emmett taking the solo. Others havin': a share in the meeting were the Rev. A. Nelson (Gonville Methodist minister), Pastor Atkinson (Wanganui East Baptist minister), and Mr J. ItHarper. The pastor briefly, and under a deep consciousness of his responsibility as a minister of the Gospel, replied. Congratulatory messages were read by the chairman from ihe Revs. H. E. Edridge. 11 8 Gray. RuSfield. and Messrs Chant. O’Connor, Carey, and the New Plymouth church. The service was concluded by a communion service.
