’ RESULT OF THE BALLOT. f ACCEPTANCE APPARENTLY’ FAVOURED. Received Nov. 3, 8.30 p.m. 1 LONDON, Nov. 3. The miners’ ballot was very close in South Wales. 72,340 being for acceptance of the settlement and 74,425 against. 1 Yorkshire apparently is largely in 1 favour of acceptance. Nottingham- . shire is against it and Northumber- - i land in favour of it, though a big ■ I majority in the anthracite district is ■ j against. Durham is generally ’ against, but big votes favour accept- ' 1 ance. Lancashire is largely against.
