A (TTY COUNCILLOR'S FALL. (Per Press Association.) DUNEDIN, Nov. 2. At the Supreme Court to-day, Matthew Bradley, aged 52, ex-city councillor, was charged with committing a serious assault on a girl under the age of 16 years. The jury, after an absence of forty minutes. returned with a verdict of guilty. Mr. Justice Sim. in passing sentence, said that in view of the fact that accused took advantage of his position as the employer of the prosecutrix, he would inflict the maximum penalty of five years.
