South Australia in their second innings, have lost 4 wickets for 82—Pellew 43, A. Smith 18. The weather was fine and the wicket fast- The Victorians’ battingrthough sound and punishing, was more on the careful than the spectacular side, evidently playing for averages, with one eye on the scoring board and the other on the selectors of the Australian eleven.
