Vendors were prepared to sell and bidding came well throughout, nearly all the yarding being cleared at the hammer. Jersey cross heifers well up brought to £22; others, Shorthorn and Holstein, £l6 5/ to £i.s; backward sorts were not in big demand, but brough fair money. At Eltham yards on Wednesday we iia’d a good yarding of all classes of stock; all was sold at the hammer. At Hawera yards on Thursday sheep and cattle came forward well. Bidding was spirited and we report a good sale. Pigs were in good demand.
