CHURCH NOTES.
The Rev. John Watt will officiate at both services to-morrow in Wanganui Presbyterian Churcn. A cordial invitation is given to all. Tpe Rev. IL. L. Blamires will conduct both services at Trinity Methodist Church to-morrow. The Holy Communion will be observed at the morning service. At the evening service the, anthem will be “God is a Spirit.” The topic will be “Concomitants of Salvation.” Kaitoke, residents are reminded that there will be service at 2.30 p.m. tomorrow, conducted by Rev. H. D. Blamires. The subject of the Evangelistic Address to be given at the Ingestre Street Baptist Church to-morrow evening will be “Coming Down Joyfully”—a continuation of last Sunday’s subject. Mr Honeycombe will sing a sacred solo. “The Outstretched Hands of God’’ is the subject chosen for the service at the St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church tomorrow night. The Rev. David Campbell will preach both morning and evening. A cordial invitation is extended to all. Mr H. E. Astbury will conduct the service at the Upper Aramoho Presbyterian Church to-morrow night, and the Rev. David Campbell will preach in tho afternoon at 2.45. To all residents of the district a cordial invitation is extended. The Rev. Vai. Trigge is advertised to conduct a special service of Inspiration and Appeal in the Methodist Church at Aramoho to-morrow mining. The evening preacher will be Mr J. Reid, formerly in charge of the Gonville Methodist Church. There will be a ‘memorial service to the late Mr George Tuffin in the Dublin Street Church, when the Rev. B. Dudley will speak on “The Christian View of Death.” Old friends of the deceased, including Veterans, are invited to be present. The evangelistic mission by Rev. Vai. Trigge will be resumed in the Dublin Street Church in the evening. He will visit the Sunday School during the afternoon and address the same. On Monday evening the evangelist will tell the story of his life. The Rev. Evan R. Harries will commence his public ministry at St. Paul’p Church to-morrow, when he will occupy the pulpit at both services. Mr Harries will take as his evening subject: “The Greatest Modern Need?’ Very great Interesth as been evinced at the coming of the Rev. Harries to St. Paul’s, and it is expected that the congregations will fill the church to overflowing. The rev. gentleman Is known throughout the Dominion as one of the most evangelistical ministers of the Presbyterian Church of New Zealand, and the work of the church in this community should be very greatly stimulated. In the afternoon the Combined Bible Classes will meet to discuss a topic of impoitance and at 5 p.m. a Class Tea will be held. Present members are asked to rally in force and past and intending members are cordially Invited to be present and to become acquainted with Mr and Mrs Harries.
