POLES AND BOLSHEVIKS.
POLISH VICTORY. PARIS, June 11. A Warsaw communique states that the Bolshevists have been repulsed, and are now withdrawing on the whole front. Fighting is taking place in territory whence the Bolshevist offensive started. Three Bolshevik divisions have been practically annihilated. WARSAW, June 11. Notwithstanding the arrival of enemy reinforcements, the battle on the Beresina resulted in the defeat of the Bolsheviks. The Poles on June 9, when advancing to the attack, expelled the enemy from positions beyond the River Autaj and took 500 prisoners. GENERAL WRANGEI.’S OFFENSIVe LONDON. June 11. In the House of Commons, questioned in regard to the reported offensive against the Bolsheviks by General Wrangel, Mr Lloyd George stated that the Government had clearly informed General Wrangel that Britain would not. be responsible for his army if he undertook an offensive.
