TELEGRAPH OFFICERS’ CONFERENCE.
(Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, June 11. The Telegraph Officers’ Associa- ' tion conference sat in committee to- ■ day to consider the Association rules, which were subsequently coni firmed in open conference. Briefly (put, they alter the constitution of i the executive committee to consist of [president, general treasurer and 'eight delegates (four from each islland) to be elected by the conference; vice-presidents (2) to be [elected from the four delegates, and [on other occasions where necessary. The scope of the distress fund was widened to include payment to the estates of unmarried officers, and allocation from the general fund was increased. The constitution was altered to allow of a referendum on questions of importance. The conference agreed to confer with the three railway societies. Public Service Association and Educational Institute on matters of common interest.
