Despite a letter from Presideni Wilson requesting that the Demo cratic members of Congress should not formulate their attitude on the question of universal military training, Democratic representatives in the Caucus adopted resolutions opposing legislation favouring com pulsory military training. Presideni Wilson said it would be best if th< coming Democratic convention formulated the party’s position on the question.
