, LONDON, Jan. 1. The frequency of jewel robberies attended with violence is scaring wealthy West Erders and suggesting the necessity of carrying arms. The Daily Mail reports that an eminent nerve specialist, discussing the crimes, states that the war has created many thousands of neurotics, but a far more dangerous type is to be seen in the men who were tainted with the mania before the war, who nevertheless made excellent soldiers. A third type represents the sufferers from emotional strain. including men who fought | through not believing the war necesI sary. The common theory regarding the influence of shell-shock on crime was largely exaggerated.
