A final reminder is given of the rendering of Handel's "Messiah" by the combined church choirs at Trinity Church this evening. Judging by the interest which has been aroused, the church will hold an overflowing audience. It is hoped that all who attend will make a handsome response to the appeal which will be made for funds towards providing Christmas presents for the inmates of the Orphanage. The proigramme will commence at 8 o'clock, and it is requested that all who' intend being present Will be seated before then. The doors will be closed during the rendering of the oratorio.

A concert in aid of the piano fund of the Wanganui East Presbyterian Church was held on Monday evenIng, the Rev. G. W. Blair presiding. The church was packed to its utmost capacity noon after the door was opened. Items, as follows, were rendered by the following ladies and gentlemen:—Mr F. B. Clark, Mr L. Hogg, E. Turnbull, Misses M. Marshall, Wright, and the Wanganut East Orchestra rendered several selections which were appreciated by all present.
