BUTCHERS AND BAKERS' AWARDS.

The award filed in the butchers' dispute fixes the hours at 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on four <]ays per week with one hour for dinner; on Saturday from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m., ono and a half hours for meals; and Wednesdays 7 a.m. to 12 noon. Overtime rate is to be time and a half Female la,bora% except by Tvifo or daughter of the employer, is prohibited. There is special provision for female bona fifle pork butchers, hours not exceedine; 47 per week, the wages to he from £1 Of to £2 10s in accordance with the length of service. The duration of tho award is to be from January Ist, 1920, to October 20th. 1921. The bakers' award filed to-day limits tho hours to 48 per week to be regulated by employer, overtime in excess of ten hours worked on any one day. Wages, minimum foreman baker, or pastrycook, £-1 5s per week; journeyman, £3 15s; labourer, £3 ss, with a bonus in addition of 4s per week. The award operates from December 29th, 1919, to December 29th, 1921.
